Founded on a simple belief
Ogent AI was founded with a simple belief — that small and medium businesses deserve access to the same advanced technology used by large enterprises.
Its founder, Anup Balagopal, has spent over two decades building software products for the restaurant, retail, and hospitality industries. Throughout his career, he has launched and scaled technology ventures — including companies backed by major enterprises such as Cisco and Target — focused on helping businesses operate more efficiently through innovation.
During the pandemic, when restaurants faced an urgent need for contactless ordering, Anup developed a solution that helped operators continue serving guests safely and efficiently. That experience revealed a larger truth: while innovation was rapidly transforming large restaurant chains, independent operators were often left behind.
Ogent AI was born from that realization — to bridge the technology gap and make AI-powered tools accessible, affordable, and effortless for every restaurant and venue.

I started Ogent because I truly believe the restaurant industry is underserved when it comes to cutting-edge technology. Big brands have teams of data scientists and automation tools. Small operators, who make up the heart of our communities, often don't.
